[attr="class","paracontentfull"]Ever ask someone to describe what they look like? You probably get an inaccurate picture from most people, and if you correct them then they might admit you’re right. That’s not the case with Serafina. Her answer would be “perfection” and you’ll not convince her she’s wrong. She’s the very picture of what you might think of if someone says “skinny redhead co-ed.” Naturally flaming locks fall down to just above her waist and frame sky blue eyes. Depending the day they might be left loose, but more often than not part of them will be pulled into a pair of twintails, or they’ll all be pulled up into a ponytail. Aside from the fact that she’s short as can be, she’s generally got proportions that would be at home on a model. She’s about as skinny as you can be without looking unhealthy, yet her genetics have somehow allowed her to have curves that look enticing enough. Okay, okay, you got her. She’s not actually objectively curvy at all. She’s petite. Please don’t tell her that. She’s shapely, sure, but she’s like a miniature version of a model in a lot of regards, and she’d rather not hear about how her assets are included in that. Her wardrobe tends to be fairly varied from day to day, but she tends to dress like a fairly normal person most of the time. Most of her wardrobe consists of t-shirts, tanktops, shorts, jeans, and quite a few dresses. Oh, right. The hoodies. So many hoodies. Most of them belong to some guy from her past. Okay, they all do. Most of them belong to a different guy, and there’s quite a few of them. The only noteworthy part of her wardrobe is that it definitely seems to favor the color red by quite a bit, but hey, it compliments her hair.
[attr="class","paracontentfull"]If you had to sum up Sera in a single word, you should probably choose idol. If you aren’t one of a few people in her trusted circle, then you see a very different version of her compared to the few people that know the real her. To most people she is generally seen as “the queen” of her class. She’s the girl that everyone wants to get with, but no one believes they can. That’s the aura that she exudes just by existing. Sure, there are other stars at the Mage’s Association, and she isn’t even all that remarkable as a Magus. Despite that, a simple conversation with her makes it clear that she thinks you think you should want her, and that she doesn’t care you exist. But for those who get to know her, a different side definitely emerges. If you’ve managed to achieve the impossible and get Sera to notice you then you’ll find she’s actually a fairly sweet girl. She cares deeply about her mom, and enjoys the simple pleasures in her life. The moments of peace she can enjoy amidst the chaos of the Infinite Grail War are sacred to her. Her greatest regret is that she didn’t get to finish her training at the Mage’s Association before the start of the war. And no, that’s not because she feels unprepared. That’s because she was living her best life, and now that the war started, she has to actually go be responsible. Fuck that.

[attr="class","paracontentfull"]Some are born into greatness. Some are born into squalor. Others are born into nothing remarkable at all. Such is the case for Serafina. The fiery redhead was brought into this world as something of a surprise. She hadn't been planned, and her father literally didn't know she existed. She was raised through her early years in London by her mother Lucia. When she was only a few years old the cost of living in London became too much and the pair moved to Painswick in Gloucestershire. That small town with only a population of a few thousand was where Serafina spent most of the days that she can remember. Her childhood doesn't have a whole lot worth mentioning. She was the pretty and popular girl throughout her years in school. She got into some mischief here and there, but she was generally a fairly average girl in most respects. It wasn't until she was 16 that she stumbled across an old trunk up in her attic and she found out about her mother's earlier studies. Lucia had always been coy about her younger years, and about how she made a living. Lucia was registered as a nurse, even though she had no real talent for anatomy or chemistry. Despite that, all the patients who saw Lucia seemed to turn out just fine. On that fateful day that Serafina found her mother's old trunk from her "days at college" the truth of the situation finally made sense. Her mother was a Magus. Serafina confronted her mother about the discovery, and her mother reluctantly agreed to train her in the ways of Magecraft. It was the first academic pursuit that Sera took seriously, but her relatively late start compared to traditional Magi families meant that her talent was far behind her age-peers. Nevertheless, Serafina studied in secret while the two of them lived in Painswick and had learned enough to get accepted into the Mage's Association at 18 years old. The year and change she spent at the Clock Tower pursuing studies of Magecraft got her rapidly up to speed with some of her contemporaries, but she still had quite a bit of room for growth by the time the Infinite Grail War broke out. In the immediate aftermath of the start of the war, she happened across a Grail Shard and used it to summon Levi Shaw. Now, the two of them together strive to keep the world safe from the new threats that have arisen.

[attr="class","paracontentfull"]At this point in time, Sera isn't exactly much of a fighter. Yeah, she can figure out how to survive in battle against a normal human... okay a normal unarmed human maybe. She's a fairly smart cookie, but the fact of the matter is that she's only at the level of an average human in most regards. Her strength and agility are completely unremarkable. In fact her combat capabilities are basically nonexistent compared to even a trained non-magical fighter. She has no noteworthy experience in hand to hand combat or with a weapon of any kind. She tried archery for a day back in high school. That counts for something right? Really the truth of the matter is that she is best suited to avoiding a fight in the first place. Her quick wit, likable nature, and unoffensive appearance mean that few have reason to quarrel with her. Even those who do have an issue with her are seldom likely to resort to violence. That said, these factors are of little merit against someone who is truly evil. Even then, she will still try to avoid a direct fight if she can. If they truly cannot be reasoned with then she'd rather let her servant do the fighting anyway. In the rare event she is actually forced into a one on one confrontation that she cannot escape from, talk her way out of, or have her servant bail her out from, then she's quite simply screwed in most cases. She knows a handful of basic spells that can help her out, but she'd probably be better off if she just learned how to use a gun.
