Chaldea is fairly unique among the established organizations. They do not really have formalized ranks for the most part. There is the Director who heads the whole thing, but aside from that there isn't a whole lot of rigid structure as far as most RPCs are concerned. Most of the departments that exist have heads, but their internal structure is generally at the discretion of their department head. Many seem to have just invented titles for themselves. The only prominent distinction in Chaldea is between Masters, Servants, and their supporting staff.

Chaldean Systems
This post details the technological and magical systems created and in use by Chaldea.
MERS
The Magical Energy Replenishment System, MERS, is a system that exists within the walls of Chaldea. It is one of the many unique advantages that Chaldea has at their disposal. Like the rest of them, it only functions within their walls. While on the grounds of Chaldea a servant can continue to exist even without a master. MERS will prevent their mana level from decreasing naturally, and shields them from The World's attempts to erase their existence. Chaldean Servants can continue to exist normally outside Chaldea's walls for a limited period of time as well. Though they cannot recover mana outside the walls of Chaldea, they are able to journey outside without a master so long as their mana reserves hold out.
FATE
FATE is the system that allows Chaldea to summon servants without the aid of the grail. With the aid of the FATE system, and the additional benefit of MERS, Chaldea is able to field a small army of servants without relying on the grail that they are sworn to fight.
CHALDEAS
CHALDEAS allows those at Chaldea to observe a copy of the Earth in real time. The resolution it provides is limited, but it is extremely useful for the sake of noticing extreme abnormalities. The presence of Miracles, such as the summoning of a new Heroic Spirit, is the primary thing that CHALDEAS is able to detect. While it cannot track Servants once they are active, being able to detect events on the scale of Miracles is a valuable power to have.
SHEBA
SHEBA is the companion system to CHALDEAS. SHEBA allows CHALDEAS to peer into the near future and detect threats before they occur. Though the range isn't very far, and the system is historically inconsistent, SHEBA has allowed Chaldaen Servants to appear at the site of a Miracle as it happens. While SHEBA never seems to give them enough time to get there in advance of a Miracle, it routinely lets Chaldaen servants arrive just in time. |
