Name: Lucia Ignatia

Age / Age of Appearance: 42 / 30
Gender: Female
Servant: Yoko Kusanagi
Affiliation: Chaldea Security Organization
RP Sample: N/A
Personality:
Alignment: Lawful Good
Likes:
1) Her daughter - Serafina is basically her entire world. If anything were to happen to her, then Lucia would be beside herself.
2) Language – Fluent in English, Italian, Japanese, and French, Lucia has a talent for, and enjoyment of, many different tongues.
3) Baking - One of the hobbies that Lucia picked up while in Painswick. Baking was good, consistent process that could distract her from her troubles. Besides, it always did put a smile on Serafina's face if Lucia showed up with fresh cookies.
4) Tea - Don't all Italians love cappuccino? Not this one. She can't stand the taste of something so bitter. Sweetened tea, usually with honey, is Lucia's go to.
5) Gelato - If she feels like really spoiling herself though, authentic gelato is basically impossible to beat.
6) Italian Cars - Outside of the realm of food, a good treat for Lucia would be an exotic car. She's not a great driver, but she sees the Italian vehicles as works of art.
7) Naps - Lucia rarely sleeps as much as she should at night. Instead she's taken to napping throughout the day. You never know when she'll be out since she naps whenever it happens to be convenient.
8) Pizza - Perhaps its because of her erratic schedule over the years, but Lucia has come to enjoy pizza less for its taste and more for the fact that you can easily eat it one handed and still get all your food groups in. Who says it isn't healthy?
9) Solitude - Though Lucia is kind to those around her, it can be exhausting to constantly be so supportive of her peers, friends, and family. She treasures the rare moments of her life where someone isn't relying on her for something.
10) Chaldea - Though she has only been with Chaldea for a little while, the team there has rapidly become her extended family.
Dislikes:
1) Kamikawa Hibiki – Baby Daddy… that she hasn’t heard anything from in nearly two decades. Oof.
2) Levi Shaw - Why did my daughter have to go any summon a berserker? Why couldn't she get something more reliable, like a Saber?
3) Maintenance - Especially car maintenance. Aside from the lack of money in her bank account, this is the main reason that she doesn't actually want to own an Italian car no matter how much she likes them.
4) Working doubles - Lucia is a napper, and the idea of working 16 hours straight without a nap break simply doesn't work for her. If you give her a couple of naps throughout then she'll be alright, but consistent work really wears her out.
5) Coffee - Too bitter! You could get her to drink something that's technically coffee if it's one of those over sugared lattes, but at that point you're drinking hot milk, not coffee.
6) Smoking - It leaves an awful smell, ruins your health, takes forever to get out of fabrics and upholstery, and isn't even cool. Why do people do this?
7) Fashion - Lucia just doesn't really get the point of high fashion. Yeah, she can enjoy things that are "cute" but that's a whole different topic. People wearing trash bags or Pablo Picasso paintings just doesn't make any sense to her.
8) The Holy Church - The teachings of The Church just didn't click with her. She couldn't accept their doctrine so she broke away from The Church.
9) Lone Wolves - People who refuse to accept her help are such a pain in the butt! All she wants do is take care of people, and some people just get annoyed by that. The nerve!
10) People who refuse to apologize - If you screwed up, just be an adult and admit it! It's not that hard to say "I was wrong" or "I'm sorry." Get over yourself and do it!
Habits:
1) “Oh My, Oh My” - Feigning surprise, bewilderment, and shock is a favorite trick of hers to get people to apologize, explain more about something, or literally anything else. This phrase is so multifaceted that she can use it for nearly anything. Forget to put on pants? Get "oh my"'d. Explain a revolutionary idea poorly? A prodding of "Oh my, what about ____?" will get most people on topic better than not using the phrase.
2) Observing – Lucia has a habit of observing the world around her and the people in it. She won’t hesitate to comment on her observations, or remember them for far longer than anyone wants her to.
3) Taking care of people - Be it in combat or out of it, Lucia is a support. She'll be right at home either baking some cookies or casting Cure Wounds.
Flaws:
1) Not combat oriented – Lucia isn’t someone who is ready to be on the front lines of a war. Quite simply, she’s a researcher, not a warrior. In a time of war… well that could be a problem.
Fears:
1) Harm coming to her daughter – The most important thing in Lucia’s world is her daughter, and not knowing how this dangerous world will treat her daughter is terrifying.
2) The fall of man – With the advent of the Infinite Grail War, she sees the downfall of humanity as a very real possibility.
Goals:
1) Protect her daughter - Above all else, Lucia worries about her daughter. When she heard that Serafina had managed to summon a Servant on her own, she knew that her daughter would be a in a world of danger. Though she can't directly support her daughter while working at Chaldea, she does all she can to keep her safe.
2) Safeguard mankind - The reason she hasn't abandoned Chaldea to see to her daughter is because of their broader mission. Chaldea seeks to safeguard mankind, and no one individual can be more important than that mission. In these crazy times the work of Chaldea is paramount.
Personality Summary: Lucia is basically everyone's mom. She is overbearing, protective, and loving. All who are a part of the team at Chaldea is her child, even those many years her senior. Hers is an older soul than she has any right to have. Perhaps it was because she had her daughter so young, but she often takes the role of mentor and caretaker. Basically all of her adult life has had in that kind of role in one way or another, and Chaldea has been no different.
In the time that she isn't busy taking care of others, Lucia tends to enjoy the quiet things. After one fateful night led to her having a daughter, she doesn't have much of a desire to seek intimacy or company. Instead she'll spend her time tinkering away or something, or curled up with some of her research notes. Though she is warm and loving on the surface, much of her life has been reduced to a duty that she was never ready for. For that reason she enjoys solitude.
Appearance
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 150 lbs
Appearance: Lucia is best summed up as a healthy, mature redhead. She looks far younger than she actually is, and most are surprised to find out that the daughter she worries about is already fully grown. Lucia is very clearly an adult. While her features paint her as someone probably around her early 30s, she has an old soul that is full of warmth and love. Even without saying something that dumb to her face, her piercing blue eyes seem to look straight through most people. Should you manage to catch her attention, the intensity of her gaze and vibrance of her irises is sure to send a shiver down your spine.
The rest of her face is respectfully well kept up, but otherwise rather unremarkable. Black rectangular glasses are often found in front of her eyes, and a light application of lipstick usually coats her lips. Long red hair spills off her head in a manner that can be described as wild yet intentional. After her eyes those fiery locks are easily her most memorable trait.
All of her features are well hidden underneath her typical outfit. Most often she wears a patterned tunic over her torso that comes down to her upper thigh. On her lower half, she usually keeps it comfy, and just wears a pair of black leggings. Most of her arms, from just below her shoulder down to her wrists, is covered in the same material. Over top of both that and the tunic she typically wears a bleached white lab coat while she’s on the clock. Practical or not, she usually wears a pair of heels to enjoy even more of a height advantage compared to most.

History
Birthplace: Rome, Italy
Current Residence: Chaldea HQ, Antarctica
Side Characters: Serafina Celestina Ignatia (Daughter)
Kamikawa Hibiki (Baby Daddy)
Kusanagi Yoko (Servant)
Backstory:
Lucia Ignatia has had one hell of a busy life. She’s been in the background of several of the most major events in the last few years, but her life begins far before that. She was born the daughter of a executor, and was trained by The Church from a young age. Of course her father, Julius, never did acknowledge that she was his. Her was sworn to to the mission after all. Admitting he had a daughter was a burden that he couldn't put ahead of the mission. He was directly responsible for her training, but he didn't see her as a daughter. She was merely a pupil.
Regardless, her father mattered little in her eyes. Her body and mind were honed by The Church from an early age, with the intention to eventually ship her off to the Assembly of the Eighth Sacrament. That future never did come to pass. She ended up leaving the church the day she turned 18, and instead made her way to the Clock Tower where she studied Magecraft. She was able to gain admittance because of her talent that had been nurtured by The Church. Her years there were mostly uneventful, with the exception of one fateful meeting. It was at the Clock Tower that she had that one chance meeting with Hibiki. Nine months from that day, Serafina was born.
With the birth of her daughter, Lucia largely retired from the public eye. She had more important things to do, but she was not entirely forgotten by the world. Just shy of two decades later she got a new offer. A man had come to her with a once in a lifetime offer. Her daughter was off to “college” at the Clock Tower, despite all of Lucia’s protests, and that meant she had no reason good enough to refuse him. She had picked up everything and moved to Chaldea HQ in Antarctica. Thank the Lord for Facetime, which meant she could still keep an eye on her daughter.
She had been recruited to Chaldea because of the thesis she wrote back in her last year at the Clock Tower. Her sponsor had come across that paper during some of his own research and realized that Lucia’s ideas had been decades ahead of their time. While the complexity of her ideas wasn’t all that high, and the theories weren’t hard to execute with modern advances, the fact that she’d come up with all of that so quickly and so long ago was noteworthy. Her sponsor simply hadn’t been willing to let that talent vanish for all time.
What exactly had she done to catch his eye? She wrote a paper that theorized the possibility of the FATE system and outlined how it might work over a decade before Chaldea did. They still hadn’t gotten it to work by the time she arrived. Six months later, it was completed and ready for testing.
That day was the same day as the start of the Sixth Fuyuki Grail War. A mere week later, the world was once again changed forever. First had come the possibility for humans to harness the power of heroic spirits, and now there was the advent of a war the likes of which hadn’t been seen since the Age of Gods. Together with the rest of Chaldea, she would work to keep humanity safe from this calamity.
The first test was thankfully a success. The subject, Yoko, was imbued with the power of a Heroic Spirit, and Lucia’s legacy within Chaldea was cemented for all time as part of the team that made it happen.
