infinitegrailwar.boards.net/thread/52/magecraft-spells-techniquesFor the Incantation, they are listed in lines, not a descriptor. Generally speaking a C-Rank spell would have a three-count incantation, but I could certainly see a spell that merely amplifies an existing projectile having a shorter one easily enough. Incantation: How long of a chant is needed for this spell, or is it Single-Action, meaning it requires no chant? The general guideline is one line of the chant per spell rank. Due note that the actual incantation can vary from user to user, but your character's version of the chant should be supplied as well. We had a discussion about this one, so I sort of know what you're going for here. The goal was to increase the accuracy of a given projectile. My primary balance concern would be a low level spell amplifying an already powerful effect, such as this being used to push an A-Rank effect to EX-Rank or similar. Given that this is a supplemental effect, I would recommend one of two mechanical approaches. Downgrade the existing spell to D-Rank. Make it so that "This spell allows a single projectile to be amplified beyond its normal speed, granting it C-Rank speed in place of its original speed. This amplified speed makes the projectile harder to dodge, but does not grant it any increased damage. "This spell wraps an existing projectile in a cloak of wind elemental mana. It both hurries the bullet along and increases its speed significantly. Both the power and speed of the projectile as are if it were C-Rank. For balance purposes, I think amping an existing projectile is fairly tame though, since you could also just make the projectile itself. What if this spell either allowed the bullet to make a sharp turn in midair, or made it silent (propelling it with wind instead of gunpowder), or could be used on something that wasn't currently in fight (such as a stone on the ground)? Either way, here's the updated image url per our discord discussion: i.imgur.com/xgGCflH.png
