[attr="class","sectionheaderbg"] [attr="class","sectionheader"]//Basic Rules [attr="class","paracontentfull"]Roleplayers here agree to respect their fellow roleplayers. Insulting, cursing, harassing, or otherwise attempting to or causing harm to another player will result in punishment depending on the severity and number of offenses. This includes on the forum or on discord. Please note that this refers to out-of-character interaction. Characters are allowed to be jerks, and you're allowed to be a jerk back in-character. Please keep these firewalled! Roleplayers agree that "bad" roleplay (as defined and outlined in this Bad Roleplay Guide -- including but not limited to powerplay, godmodding, and metagaming) will not occur. We ask for a minimum of 200 words per post. This can be undercut in rare situations, but as an intermediate-advanced forum we see this as a minimum per post. Proper grammar and spelling are required to the best of your ability. [attr="class","subheaderbgfull"] [attr="class","subheader"]//Joining [attr="class","paracontentfull"]Please register via the character creation board. An application is required to join. Submitting a new thread on the Character creation board will automatically prompt you to fill out all the sections and place them into the template. Infinite Grail War considers itself a Intermediate/Advanced roleplaying game. As such, good spelling and grammar in your application are required, as are adherence to site mechanics and lore. Before you get started we recommend reading the new player guide. Refusal to work with the administration to fix application errors may result in an application being denied. Characters must have their own account, but a member can have any number of characters. [attr="class","subheaderbgfull"] [attr="class","subheader"]//Setting [attr="class","paracontentfull"]Infinite Grail War is set in the modern day, continuing after the events of Fate/Unlimited Blade Works. More information about the setting can be found on the Lore board. Characters should be appropriate to this setting in application and once roleplaying in the game as a part of good roleplay realism. We use liquid time for our roleplay. Please keep a vaguely consistent timeline, but we're fine with people being rather vague about specific dates. As long as you know that fight X came before ice cream social Y then it's all good. Players may participate in as many threads and roleplays as they like at a given time. [attr="class","subheaderbgfull"] [attr="class","subheader"]//Appropriate Content [attr="class","paracontentfull"]The general rating of this board is PG-13..ish. Please keep all postings, player biographies, player and character icons, and names in keeping with this guideline. If you wish to exceed this rating, you must accurately flair your thread. Sexual content is banned by Proboards ToS and will not be allowed for any reason. You must fade to black. No exceptions. [attr="class","subheaderbgfull"] [attr="class","subheader"]//Impersonation [attr="class","paracontentfull"]Making fun of people by mimicking them is one thing, but attempting to convince others you are another member of Infinite Grail War, especially a member of staff, is not cool. It damages the trust of the community as a whole, especially since we aren't seeing each other face to face. Keep in mind that staff can see IP logs and it will be fairly obvious to us. Attempting to impersonate staff, either by name or simply by role, may result in a permanent ban depending on the situation. This means that non-staff should not claim to be staff ever. Being helpful is fine, but lying about being on staff just makes you look bad in front of new members. [attr="class","subheaderbgfull"] [attr="class","subheader"]//Staff has the final say [attr="class","paracontentfull"]If a moderator or staff person asks you to stop doing something, stop. If a post or topic gets deleted, please do not simply recreate the same or a similar one. If you disagree with a decision that was made, you are welcome and even encouraged to contact a mod or a staff person and discuss it civilly. Politeness will get you lots of places, and we're happy to hear your concerns. On the other hand, being rude to or abusing the mods won't get you anything -- except possibly in more trouble. [attr="class","subheaderbgfull"] [attr="class","subheader"]//Report Rule Violations [attr="class","paracontentfull"]Remember that this is a community, and the majority of the content comes straight from other users, not from the staff. If you see anything mean or nasty on the site, or anyone sends you anything that makes you uncomfortable, asks for your password or personal information (such as your name, address or phone number), please let us know immediately either via Discord PM or the Report Post feature. [attr="class","subheaderbgfull"] [attr="class","subheader"]//Punishment [attr="class","paracontentfull"]Below is a general progression of punishments. Staff reserves the right to skip or repeat steps on this progression as we feel is appropriate to a given circumstance. We don't want to have to punish people, and we want to give people chances, but if we have no choice then it will look something like... First Offense: Verbal/Written Warning Second Offense: Minor Warning Third Offense: Major Warning Fourth Offense: 7 day ban on all accounts Fifth Offense: 30 day ban on all accounts Sixth Offense: 1 year ban on all accounts Seventh Offense: Permanent Ban on all accounts |
